Below is what I would like for you to complete while I am out:
Use the text book (World History Ancient Civilizations). Read section 1 from chapter 9 pages for section 1 are: 260- 265. As you read define all bold and or highlighted words these words include: Cryus the Great, cavalry, Darius, Persian Wars, Xerxes. After reading the section and defining the terms students will need to answer questions 1-5 on page 265. If there is time students may also read the second section of chapter 9 pages 266-271. Just like with the first section students need to define the terms: alliance, Peloponnesian War, and complete the questions (1-5) on page 271.
Warm up: Explain why Greece is said to be the birth place of Western Civilization? Name one achievement from the following: the arts, architecture and government.
